How to delete double spacing in Microsoft Words

This happens to me quite often when I open a word documents received or downloaded from other sources. I'm not quite sure if it was software compatibility issues or other reasons, every now and then I received word documents with double spacing right after the period. I was still using the old microsoft word 2005 and some of the words I received are in newer version, that might be the problems. Of course this is not the only reasons, if you are using custom or other software to exports data to MS Word, it could cause the same problems. It might be even worse, resulting in double space in every words or randomly. Are you deleting the extra spaces manually? Don't do that! There's a much easier way!

There's a function in word that let you replace anything with a single click of button.

1.) Go to Edit > Replace
2.) In Find What- insert: ^w
3.) In Replace with- insert: ^s
4.) Click replace all
5.) Done!

Easy right? You'd be punching in your face if you have been wasting time doing it manually. Next time search the net for solution especially when it involves in computer. Word smarter not harder :)
